Our team is made of authors and editors passionate about their genre, and about helping new and under represented writers break into their early career. We know it's tough out there. it is our aim to try and give time and purpose to your work in order to act as a launch pad for early career writers needing their first break into the industry. We are particularly passionate about supporting those writers from rural areas where opportunities can feel even more scarce.

Perry Wyatt

Head of Young Adult Fiction

Perry Wyatt is an author, poet, and screenwriter from Wales who recently completed her PhD

study in Young Adult Fiction.

She has published two books Secrets of Baker Street: The

Curious Adventures Of The Real Holmes And Watson (2021, Orange Pip Books) and Our

Strange Symphony (2022, Kindle) thus far and is currently working on another YA adventure

fantasy.

Alongside this, she has published several poems in literary magazines across the world

including the likes of Corporeal Magazine and The Bibliopunk Lit Zine.

Perry recently received the award of Highly Commended at the National Film Festival of Wales for her horror screenplay ‘Bite Back’.

She enjoys reading works that capture her imagination and tales that take the reader on

unexpected adventures filled with heart and joy.

YA is one of her chosen fields of study but she

also enjoys fantasy, contemporary, literary fiction, and romance novels. She currently works at

Swansea University on their Creative Writing Course as an Assistant Lecturer for Long Fiction

and is currently finalising her PhD after passing in February 2024.

Suzie Good

Developmental Editor

Suzie Good likes to read. A lot. She also likes to write. With her picture book, THE KING’S CROWN published in 2019, she has also written a middle grade novel called THE LOST GHOST which was runner up in Firefly Press’ New Welsh Writers competition in 2022. A Teacher at Cardiff University, Suzie runs courses in Writing for Children, English Literature and Film, plus she has experience in copy-editing for a small Welsh publisher. Passionate about Wales, Suzie has also written articles for the Cardiff Times celebrating Welsh writers and their works.

Kerry Curson

Head of Middle Grade Fiction and Wellness

Kerry is an author based in Pembrokeshire, West Wales. Her debut novel Anwen and the Island is an adventure fantasy for 8-12 year olds. Anwen's world is inspired by the Welsh landscape.

Kerry founded Little Grebe Books in January 2023. She also writes short stories and adult novels. She is currently commissioning a short story anthology from female writers across Wales.

Her first short story collection Twenty Three is due for publication late 2024. As part of her PhD Kerry is researching fear and creativity.

Her workshops are inspired by her ongoing study of the creative process. As an experienced yoga teacher and creative writing workshop leader, Kerry blends playfulness, visual prompts and group work to inspire imaginations for audiences of all ages.
